Monday Video from CLM DWN: Via the Ears of a “Ginger Unicorn”
Andrew Hoy appears to be having the time of his life aboard Vassily de Lassos, or as Andrew has not too long ago known as him, his “ginger unicorn.” Over the weekend, the pair completed third total within the CCI4*-S at Luhmühlen in Germany thanks to a different completion on their dressage rating. Fly round cross nation with them courtesy of Andrew’s trusty hat cam!
As a 9-year-old, Vassily de Lassos was Andrews’s mount for the World Equestrian Video games in Tryon representing Workforce Australia and ending in fourth place individually — a really spectacular end for a younger horse on the world stage. Andrew and Vassily de Lassos had been considered one of 4 pairs to complete on their dressage rating (FOD) on the WEG. For the reason that WEG, Vassily de Lassos, owned by Paula and David Evans, has now achieved an FOD in 4 out of his six begins on the four-star stage. That consistency has seen the now 11-year-old Anglo Arab gelding end no decrease than sixth place at any of these occasions.
We all know Andrew has his sights on Tokyo 2020, ahem, 2021 with this thrilling horse and we sit up for going alongside for the experience!
